Hello and welcome! My name is Delaney Brightwell and I was born and raised in the sunny Avondale, Arizona on April 29th, 2001. My parents are Robert and Kathy Brightwell and I have an older sister, Sharleen Ramer. I am the youngest of what once was three but is now two. 
        My passion for writing began in seventh grade, when I explored the world of Fan-Fiction writing, in which I immediately became hooked. My obsession with literature and writing as a whole, however, blossomed in high school when I wrote my senior paper on the works of Flannery O'Connor. My attempts at nursing died in senior year of high school as well, as my attempt to study Medical Assisting soon became uninteresting and unenjoyable to me. 
        I entered my bachelor degree program at NAU studying English and will finish December 2022, and I have not regret it. I have learned many valuable skills as a writer and truly grown in my abilities as an author. I have worked with fellow writers in workshops, reading their works to give them feedback as well as getting feedback of my own. Now, as I enter the final semester here at NAU, I have earned many skills from my creative writing courses and literature courses that have prepared me to enter the editing and publishing industry to further advance my skills. 
​        My most prized work is my Saints Brotherhood series as I am now writing the manuscript for the first book to soon be self-published while working on the other three books in the series.
